I did it!!! 30Daysto70K!!!

Day 30

71,132 Words

Wow. Just wow.

I made it! The 30 Days to 70K Writing Challenge is officially in the rearview mirror! Not only did I hit the 70K mark, but I also went a bit overboard and ended up with 71,132 words. That's right, the whole story is down, though it's a bit of a sprawling hot mess at the moment.

From the outset, this challenge was more than just about hitting a word count; it was about setting a lofty goal and daring to reach it. Each day, as I sat down to write, I was fueled by the encouragement and support from all of you. Your daily check-ins, your words of motivation, and your shared excitement for the story unfolded made all the difference. It transformed what could have been a solitary endeavor into a communal celebration of creativity and determination.

Connecting with each of you has opened up new avenues of imagination, leading to the birth of characters and plot twists that I could never have envisioned on my own. Your insights and enthusiasm kept me going, even on days when the words seemed to evade me, and the end appeared too distant to reach. This journey has taught me the power of community in the creative process, a lesson I will carry with me in all my future endeavors.

As I bid farewell to the daily grind of the challenge, I can't help but feel a tinge of sadness. The routine of writing, sharing, and receiving feedback has become a part of my day. But as one chapter ends, another begins. I am now poised to embark on revising the first draft of "Sister Agatha Book #4". This next phase promises to be just as challenging, if not more, as I sift through the rambling pile of words to pull out of it a coherent and engaging narrative.

In the weeks to come, I plan to share weekly updates on my revision progress. Your insights have been invaluable, and I look forward to your continued support as I navigate this next stage of the writing process. I'll soon be seeking your help in naming a new canine character that promises to add a layer of warmth and intrigue to the story. I hope you'll lend your creativity to this endeavor as well (there will be prizes).

As we move forward, I'm already brainstorming new challenges and blogging topics to keep us connected and engaged. The journey of writing is never truly over; it merely evolves, presenting new challenges and opportunities for growth. So, stay tuned for what's next on the horizon.

In closing, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for being part of this 30Daysto70K journey. Your support, encouragement, and engagement have made all the difference, transforming an almost overwhelming challenge into an incredible experience. Here's to many more words, stories, and challenges ahead.

Happy reading and joyful writing!

Jane
